It's marketed as user friendly for non-techies, minimalist, and totally free (even for commercial use). The drag-and-drop based website builder was born out of the Netherlands, and is designed to construct small-medium sized websites, landing pages, portfolios, and other such low-functionality websites.

I tend to find the block closest to my needs and than adapt HTML & CSS as necessary.Mobirise is an offline website builder for Windows and Mac, meaning that it needs to be downloaded to your desktop. Shout if it doesn't.Īlso every block in MR has different items in the cog (dependent on what the developer of that block put there), which is why yours has a different number of entries to mine. If you have a read through those and a play on a test page, it should all become clear. I've doe again on this thread by adding an item to the cog:

In my step by step item above i detail how to add extra items into the cg.: How do you add options to the cog menu like in your example? I also notice in your image, there are a couple of extra icons that I don't have in my setup - see my image. This options has to be placed where you want it in the list under the section
MOBIRISE DROP DOWN MENU CODE
Hi using code editor I added a "Show Dropdown Buttons" option to the cog to enable/disable the drop-down buttons. Ill leave it live for a day or two and then ill remove it. Ignore the picture and lightbox stuff on the page, the button is above that in its own block. I've published the button on one of my test pages I was working on a lightbox item. Certainty a "proper solution" would all be controlled from the cog and you wouldn't need a code editor, but that is probably beyond my abilities/available time right now.

I'm sure some of the expert coders on this forum will be able to provide a better solution or point out where i've been stupid, but I just wanted to do this as a quick test to see how easy it was to add a cog button and add a drop down list button.įeel free to use if helpful and you don't get a better MR official solution or a better forum produced solution before you need it. I did play around with some CSS but you don't need that to make it work, you only need that to change the look and feel. This creates a button that opens up the three URL page options when you click it on the rendered webpage:Īs I say, this code isn't perfect and requires editing the block HTML with a code editor. Thirdly using code editor I found the place in the block I wanted my dropdown button and added this code (its not perfect but it works to prove the concept): This is the view of cog now with the extra dropdown selector added: Secondly using code editor I added a "Show Dropdown Buttons" option to the cog to enable/disable the drop-down buttons. This is probably not the perfect way to do this as i'm no expert, but its working for me so i thought it worth sharing incase you get stuck and need something to work with until somebody provides a better solution.Īs a test, firstly I took a very basic content block and added it to my project.
